Douglas Klepper, MD, is a native of McDonald, Kansas and has been a “Texan” for over 30 years. He is proud to call Lubbock “home” for the last 20 years.
He received his medical education right here at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center with a combined internal medicine and pediatric residency.
Dr. Klepper is a member of several professional organizations including: Lubbock Pediatric Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Alpha Omega Alpha Society. He is also a member of the UMC Physicians board.
Dr. Klepper is married to Terry Hawkins, who is a native of Odessa and is an attorney. They have a daughter, Natalie.
He is a member of the First Methodist Church. In his spare time, Dr. Klepper enjoys kite flying, travel, watching geese, and hiking.
Dr. Klepper’s personal philosophy is “to protect the children and to empower parents to parent.”
