a broad base of primary care patients that would support the hospital and medical
school.
Since its inception, it has grown to
over 100 providers

November 16th, PNS’s Chief Executive Officer Paul A. Acreman announced his retirement from UMC Health System in the following
letter to PNS Physicians, Staff and Friends
"It is with great honor and enormous pride that I today announce my retirement as CEO of PNS and SVP of UMC Health System effective
December 31, 2015.
As you know, I’ve been at this a long time and recruited almost each and every one of our current doctors and leadership staff.
I have been a proud witness to so many great achievements and milestones as PNS has been built into what it is today, a dominant
market force in providing healthcare to the South Plains and strong member of the UMC Health System. I just could not be more
proud of what you have accomplished. You have made me look awfully good!
Healthcare has changed so much in the last many years and the changes just keep on coming. It is time for a new era of leadership
to take UMC Physicians into the next phase of reform and to new heights of success. After a brief period of decompression
and rest in January 2016, I will return for the remainder of 2016 to assist in the management transition and to work on advancing
some strategic initiatives important to the UMC Health System and to UMC Physicians. While I will not be an employee of
UMC Physicians or UMC, my cell number and email will remain the same.
Please join me in congratulating Mr. Glen Frick who has been named to the position of Executive Director. I have no doubt that he
will take UMC Physicians to unimagined success and I encourage you to support and provide him with the same level of dedication
and effort that you have given me. The future is very bright and you will take pride and enjoyment from participating in it.
I could not be more proud of the team of physicians, providers and staff that we have assembled here nor of the achievements that have
been made beyond my wildest expectations. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support and dedication that you have shown
me. None of this could have been accomplished without our team effort and I am honored to have been a part of it. Thank you!!!"
