Victor Chavez, M.D. attended medical school at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he graduated in 1977. He completed his Family Practice Residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Lubbock in 1978. Dr. Chavez is a Board Certified Medical Review Officer.
After completing his residency, Dr. Chavez practiced Emergency Room Medicine part-time at a number of hospitals in the West Texas area from 1978-1986. During this time he worked at Brownfield Regional Medical Center in Brownfield, Texas, Rolling Plains Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas, Saint Mary of the Plains Hospital in Lubbock, Texas and Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
Since 1982, Dr. Chavez has owned and operated Minor Emergency Center in Lubbock. His practice consists of Family Practice, Occupational/Industrial Medicine, and Urgent Care Medicine.
