When it comes to choosing a quality pediatrician for your child, Dr. Johnny Vuelvas is an excellent choice. Dr. Vuelvas attended college at the University of Texas at Austin and then went on to attend Medical School at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He served his residency in Pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, approximately 140 miles north of his hometown of Odessa.
Dr. Vuelvas is accepting new patients from newborns to 17 years of age. When asked why he chose to practice pediatrics in Lubbock after completing medical school, Dr. Vuelvas replied, “I am drawn to the field of pediatrics because it provides an opportunity to help the most, innocent and helpless of our society, our children. It is a privilege to care for, and be a voice for, those who cannot stand up for themselves. I look forward to sharing life's wonderful moments with families and can think of no better place to do that than Lubbock.”
Dr. Johnny Vuelvas is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Lubbock Crosby Garza Medical Society.
He and his wife, Kristien have one daughter. When he isn't busy with patients, Dr. Vulevas chooses to spend time with his family and enjoying his hobbies of photography, soccer and basketball.
Dr. Vulevas joins Robert Martinez, FNP-C at Freedom Clinic located just south of 50th Street on Avenue Q. Freedom Clinic accepts most commercial insurances, Medicare, and Medicaid.
